Andy Long
Professor Andy Long is Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Northumbria University, leading its vision for world-class teaching, research and innovation.
Previously Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Nottingham, Andy is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
Previously Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Nottingham, Andy oversaw strategy, resources and academic leadership. A Chartered Engineer and Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, he holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Nottingham and degrees from Warwick and Loughborough.
Andy is Chair of Universities for North East England and a member of the North East Combined Authority Business and Economy Board.
